By accessing or using Detention Defender, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.
Description of Service
Detention Defender is a mobile application that helps truckers and carriers track detention time at pickup and delivery locations, and generate invoices for detention fees.
User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for any illegal purpose
- Submit false or misleading detention claims
- Manipulate GPS data or timestamps
- Attempt to access other users' accounts
- Interfere with or disrupt the service
Subscription and Payments
Free Plan: Includes 3 invoices per month at no charge.
Pro Plan: $19/month for unlimited invoices and additional features. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled. You can cancel anytime through your account settings.
Invoices and Liability
Detention Defender provides tools to create and send detention invoices. We do not guarantee payment from brokers or shippers. You are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the information in your invoices. We are not liable for disputes between you and brokers regarding detention claims.
GPS Data Accuracy
GPS accuracy depends on your device and environmental factors. We provide GPS coordinates as verification but cannot guarantee precise accuracy. Location data is timestamped based on your device's clock.
Limitation of Liability
Detention Defender is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account for violations of these terms. You may cancel your account at any time through your account settings.
Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
